The City of Hobart is preparing a master plan for the Battery Point Slipyards site to deliver a clear and achievable strategic vision to guide and inform future decision-making.

The process began with understanding the site’s issues, what’s important about it and what the community values. An important planning workshop was held on Saturday, 1 July 2017 and community drop-in sessions were held at the Mariners cottage on Sunday 2 July and Monday 3 July. Thanks to everyone who attended, all sessions were well attended and highly successful.

Representatives from all the groups who influence or will be influenced by what the future site looks like, what people do there and how people feel being there will come together to explore the question ‘What could and should the Battery Point Slipyards site be like in the future?’
