Draft West Hobart Oval Management Plan 2016 and upgrade of oval lighting
The City of Hobart has prepared a draft West Hobart Oval Management Plan 2016.
This plan was prepared following preliminary consultation with key stakeholders - local sporting clubs and the neighbouring Lansdowne Crescent Primary School.
The plan contains a range of recommendations for the West Hobart Oval’s future management and development including the upgrading of the oval’s irrigation, drainage and lighting, car park, track network and toilet.
We are now seeking community comment and stakeholder feedback on the draft plan, as well as feedback on the proposed first stage of the implementation of the plan - the replacement of oval lighting designed to reduce light spill and meet training standards.
You are invited to submit feedback.
All feedback will be reviewed and used to inform the finalisation of the management plan for its presentation to the Council for endorsement. Feedback will also be used to refine the lighting plan before the lodgement of a development application.
