What is an Asset Management Plan?

An Asset Management Plan outlines the City of Hobart's overall direction, priorities and targets in terms of infrastructure maintenance and delivery, including the delivery of associated customer services. The City's current Parks and Recreation Asset Management Plan is under review.

What infrastructure and services is this plan about?

We are currently reviewing the Parks and Recreation Asset Management Plan which refers to suburban and regional parks, playgrounds, outdoor sporting facilities, street trees and garden beds, irrigation systems, turf, and open space (excluding bushland areas) within the Hobart municipality.

The City of Hobart manages a number of other assets such as roads, footpaths, and buildings. A review of how we manage these assets is not part of the current scope of this engagement.

When can I see the Plan?

The City of Hobart is currently in the early stages of developing the draft Plan and is seeking input from the community to ensure all views are considered and proposed future strategies reflect community expectations.

    What happens to my feedback?

On conclusion of this engagement process, your feedback will be considered and used to inform the preparation of the Parks and Recreation Asset Management Plan.
