The City’s focus for the design is provide a fenced off-lead dog exercise area, an enclosed space of 2,600 metres squared, divided into two long paddocks.

  • Additional car parking has not been considered as part of the current design. While not tested by detailed design or technical assessment, additional car parking adjacent to this new facility may be unsuitable for the following reasons:

- Insufficient space for turning circles

- Compatibility with playground aera

- The area may be prone to subsidence.

  • There are around 65 car parking spaces at the City’s carpark, opposite the Badminton Centre on Cascade Road. Access to this car park is provided by a new concrete footpath leading from the end of Wentworth Street.
