The City would like to thank everyone who took the time to make a formal submission or offered feedback on the draft Queens Domain Draft Summit Plan. The plan was approved by the Council in January 2019 following extensive community consultation.
Issues raised by respondents included the need for protection of significant natural and cultural values on the Domain summit, mountain biking access and facilities for dogs as well as the need for a pedestrian link between the Domain and New Town.
Design and implementation of the plan has already started. A planning application will be lodged in the first half of 2020 with construction scheduled to commence in the 2020-2021 financial year.
