South Hobart Parking Review

Consultation has concluded

Thank you for your ongoing interest in this project.

A letter will be delivered to local impacted residents on Friday 8 May 2020.

Based on feedback received the majority of residents were happy with the current parking arrangements but some were experiencing issues finding parking close to home. With this in mind the City of Hobart has decided to install new residential parking permit zones or increase the length of existing residential parking permit zones in the following areas:

These changes convert unrestricted parking to 2P residential zones and allow vehicles with a permit to park longer than the posted 2 hour parking limit. Permits can be issued to residents of the streets that qualify for a permit. Please see the attached 'Residential Parking Scheme' for more information.

For any queries please feel free to contact Jason McLeod, details available on the Who's Listening tab.

The survey for this project has been extended to Friday 20 December 2019

The City of Hobart has received a number of requests recently for an increase in residential parking permit zones throughout South Hobart.

There are a range of reasons for these requests but before making a decision on what sort of parking controls are most suitable, we are seeking information regarding personal experience from the local residents.

The City is surveying all residential properties from Gore Street to McRobies Road/Wellesley Park between the Hobart Rivulet and Davey Street/Huon Road. If you received a letter about parking requirements in South Hobart, then your street is being surveyed. Please take the survey below and let the City know your thoughts on this issue.

The City of Hobart will only make changes to parking where a consensus has been formed.

Get involved and have your say by completing the survey below.

Feedback for this project will close at 5 pm on 13 December 2019.
