All feedback on the Draft Community Safety Commitment will be reviewed and where appropriate incorporated into the document. A report to Council will then be prepared outlining the consultation undertaken on the draft, along with the feedback received. If approved by Council the final document will be released publicly later in 2019.

    The City of Hobart Safety Strategy (2004) is currently under review and council officers have been undertaking consultation with a wide range of community partners on the topic of safety. This engagement has directly informed a new draft commitment to reflect aspirations laid down in the City of Hobart Community Vision.

    The Draft Community Safety Commitment 2019, outlines key partnerships and focus areas as well as sets clear goals and priorities for action.
