Following the City of Hobart’s determination of Girrabong Park as a shared-use space this year, Council has endorsed a revised concept plan to improve Girrabong Park in Lenah Valley.

The park upgrade will include new paths, bench seats, bins and a picnic setting as well as lawn and vegetation improvements. Access for off-lead dog exercise (between 9am and 7pm) will remain in place after revitalisation works have been completed.

We are now seeking community endorsement of the concept plan. The project is currently unfunded, however, if there is strong community support, the proposed improvements will then be considered for funding when Council determines the 2020-21 and 2021-22 Capital Works Programs and Annual Budgets.

The community was encouraged to participate by viewing the Girrabong Park Concept Plan and completing a feedback form (which is now closed).
