Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback on the design of the fenced off‑lead dog area at Lower Wellesley Park.

We heard a wide range of views through the engagement, particularly around the design and layout of the dog park, how it will operate, and how it fits alongside other park uses.

Feedback on the design elements of the dog park has been carefully reviewed by the project team. Many of the suggestions raised will be reflected in the final design where possible, and are helping to refine details such as layout, fencing, access, and circulation.

Some submissions also raised ideas and requests for additional infrastructure, including toilets, lighting, additional parking, shade, and other amenities. While these are not included in the current project due to funding and scope limits, they have been noted and will help inform future planning and budget considerations.

The project team is finalising design refinements based on the feedback received and progressing towards delivery of the fenced off‑lead area.

Broader suggestions raised through this process will continue to be considered as part of ongoing planning for Wellesley Park and surrounding open spaces.
