Trial of Jogging Surfaces – Joggers Loop, Queens Domain
Consultation has concluded
The Joggers Loop has been renamed as Maxs Infinity Loop.
The Council resolved at its meeting on 24 July 2017 that the loop be renamed in recognition of Max Cherry OAM, a well renowned Hobart Athletics coach who passed away in 2008. The name was selected through a community engagement process and approved by the nomenclature board.
The Joggers Loop survey for the shared use track is now closed.
We are reading over your submissions to create a report on your surface preference for the Joggers Loop mixed track. This survey has been open across winter and summer to ensure that information collected has been across a broad range of weather conditions.
A lot of people have been concerned about the permanence of the bitumen track. This consultation was strictly related to the type of surface for the soft track only, there is no plan to remove the bitumen track.
We will be back in touch soon with the outcomes.
